Trucode Gene Repair, Inc. is a discovery-stage therapeutics company developing an oligonucleotide-based approach to in vivo gene editing to treat and cure patients with genetic diseases.
 

We seek a highly skilled and motivated Formulations Scientist, ready to function in a fast-paced and collaborative environment and be responsible for the development and characterization of peptide nucleic acid containing nanoparticles. The successful candidate will work within a larger team of chemists, engineers, formulation scientists and associates. The individual in this role will assist in the development and characterization of formulations for the delivery of peptide nucleic acid-based therapeutics on a broad set of approaches and technologies. Broad knowledge of nucleic acid formulations, drug delivery, sterile products manufacturing and general pharmaceutical product development is required. Experience with polymeric nanoparticle preparation techniques, biophysical/chemical characterization, and surface modification is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop formulations for delivery of peptide nucleic acid for testing in vitro/in vivo

  • Synthesize and characterize polymeric/lipid-based nanoparticle formulations

  • Interact well with other groups and communicate results to a broad audience

  • Maintain accountability for project success and results delivery

  • Contribute to scientific and strategy discussions to advance and enhance platforms and product candidates

Preferred Expertise:

  • Strong foundation in chemistry, biochemistry, materials science, or chemical engineering

  • Experienced in oligonucleotide therapeutics, deep understanding of particle-based delivery systems as well as characterization techniques

Education and Experience:

MS or PhD degree in pharmaceutical sciences or related field plus 2-3 years of experience and proven track record of success in oligonucleotide formulation development, analytical evaluation and related technologies is preferred.
